Echoes of the Talking Drum put the gángan, the Yoruba talking drum, at the head of the performance. Drummers, dancers and singers performed together, and what the drum played decided what everyone else did next.
Farida gave the lead drummer the role a conductor would normally hold: instead of following a fixed routine, the dancers and singers answered what the drum played in the moment. She shaped the programme as a series of passages, some built around a singer and some around a dancer, with the drummers on stage throughout.
Led by Creative Director Farida Atanda, Red Cap Entertainment delivered comprehensive artistic vision, live show-calling, technical systems integration, and strict protocol governance from concept through on-site execution.
