Red Cap Entertainment is a UK-based cultural production platform that bridges African heritage with contemporary live and public spaces. Led by Creative Director Farida Atanda (LL.B in Common Law), our work spans concept development, scenography, traditional performance, and live production management, delivering experiences that celebrate African culture with uncompromising artistic and contractual rigor.
We deliver four specialized disciplines: (1) Live Cultural Production — multidisciplinary concept-to-curtain event direction; (2) Festivals & Public Programmes — heritage festivals, performer curation, and public crowd logistics; (3) Exhibitions & Curatorial Projects — fine art exhibition design, lighting, and museum/gallery liaison; and (4) Ceremonial & Cultural Showcases — traditional weddings, royal showcases, and poetry nights honoring authentic cultural protocol.
In major public showcases like the Festival of Unity and National Arts Festival, we handle end-to-end site design, artisan and food vendor selection, staging schedules, health and safety risk assessments, and attendee flow. We ensure traditional crafts, live music, and cultural foodways are presented authentically and safely.
Exhibitions like Beyond the Bronze require deep historical awareness coupled with technical exhibition design. We provide curatorial essays, museum-grade display lighting, artist liaisons, artifact security protocols, and gallery scenography designed to engage contemporary audiences with African artistic lineages.
In productions such as Cultural Night: The Arewa Heritage & Poetry Night and royal ceremonial nuptials, Farida Atanda personally oversees cultural protocol, master drummers, oral poets, traditional regalia sourcing, and procession timing to guarantee ceremonial sanctity without logistical delays.
Our production hub is in the UK with nationwide delivery across London, Sheffield, Manchester, Leeds, and Nottingham, as well as cross-border productions across West Africa including Lagos, Kaduna, and Benin City.
Rather than acting as a broker that hands off your project to unknown third parties, our in-house team oversees run-of-show scripting, sound engineering, exhibition and stage lighting, stage management, and on-site show calling from initial load-in to final load-out.
For major festivals, multi-day exhibitions, or complex cultural showcases, we recommend commissioning 3 to 6 months in advance; intimate celebrations can often be accommodated on shorter timelines.
